Presidential Distinguished Service Award for the Irish Abroad | 2012
Award designed in Spear Product Design. In this project we had to design and deliver an award that recognizes people who has provided sustained service to Ireland and its communities abroad. This award is a new system of State recognition and its going to be presented every year by President Michael D. Higgins in Aras An Uachtarain.
The award that I designed is an open door to Irish landscape and represents a welcoming appreciation for the services provided to the Irish nation. The open door is just that, always open for each and everyone of you.
The materials used in this award are all Irish produced, the centerpiece of the award made with fused glass represents Irish landscape and for the door we used five Irish native woods, Ash, Cherry, Elm, Oak and Chestnut to differentiate the different categories.

Proyecto realizado en la empresa Spear. En este proyecto fui encargada de diseñar un nevo premio que reconoce a las personas que han prestado un servicio continuo a Irlanda y sus comunidades en el exterior. Este premio es un nuevo sistema de reconocimiento del Estado y va a ser presentado cada año por el presidente Irlandés Michael D. Higgins.
El concepto de mi diseño es una puerta con vistas al paisaje Irlandés, una puerta siempre abierta como muestra de agradecimiento hacia todas estas personas que han contribuido al desarrollo de comunidades Irlandesas en el mismo país y en el exterior.
El centro del trofeo esta hecho con vidrio fundido y representa el paisaje irlandés, para la producción de la puerta se usaron cinco maderas irlandesas distintas (fresno, cerezo, olmo, roble y castaño) para diferenciar las diferentes categorias que tienen los premios.

En aquest projecte em van encarregar de dissenyar un nou trofeu que serviria de reconeixement a les persones que han estat al servei continu d'Irlanda i a les seves comunitats a l'exterior. Aquest premi és un nou sistema de reconeixement de l'Estat Irlandès i serà presentat cada any pel seu president Michael D.Higgins.
El concepte del meu disseny és una porta amb vistes al paisatge Irlandès , una porta sempre oberta com a mostra d'agraïment cap a totes les persones que han contribuït al desenvolupament de comunitats Irlandeses en el mateix país o a l'exterior.
El centre del trofeu està fet amb vidre fos i representa el paisatge Irlandès, per a la producció de la porta es van utilitzar cinc fustes diferents (freixe, cirerer, om, roure i castanyer) per diferenciar les diferents categories que tenen els premis.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

COMMENDED IDI DESIGN AWARDS 2012 (Institute of Designers in Ireland)

Amphibia Dry Mat | 2012 Project designed in Spear Product Design. This product is a gym mat that I designed for the Amphibia sports brand (www.amphibia-sport.com). In this project I was tasked with the creation of a high quality gym mat for getting changed in the gym and outdoors. This product had to be resistant, absorvent, easy to wash and to carry in your gym bag. The most important thing in this design was to find the right materials. The mat is composed of two layers, the surface one is made with a micro-fibre material that absorbes the water from the feet and the base layer is made with a non-slip natural rubber to avoid any accidents in wet conditions. This mat is great for using on wet changing room floors, swimming pools and triathlon transition areas. Another interesting aspect about this product is that has been fully manufactured in Ireland.

En este proyecto mi trabajo fue la de crear una alfombra de alta calidad para el gimnasio que sirve para cambiarte la ropa con comodidad cuando el suelo esta mojado. Este producto tenia que ser muy resistente, absorbente, fácil de lavar y de transportar. Lo más importante en este producto eran los materiales. Esta alfombra esta compuesta básicamente de dos capas, la superficie es micro-fibra super absorbente y la capa inferior esta echa de goma natural antideslizante. Puedes usarla en cualquier lado como el vestidor del gimnasio, la piscina o incluso en exteriores como las áreas de transición de un triatlón. Otro aspecto a destacar de este producto es que esta producido completamente en Irlanda.

En aquest projecte la meva feina va ser la de crear una catifa d'alta calitat per el gimnas que servís per canviar-te la roba amb comoditat al gimnàs quan el terra esta mullat. Aquest producte tenia que ser molt resistent, absorbent, fàcil de rentar i també de transportar. Per això el més important en aquest projecte eren els materials utilitzats. Bàsicament aquest producte té dues capes, la de la superfície és microfibra super absorbent i la capa inferior esta fabricada amb goma natural antilliscant. Pots utilitzar-la a qualsevol lloc com per exemple el vestidor del gimnàs, la piscina o fins i tot en les àrees de transició d'un Triatló. Un altre aspecte que cal destacar es que el producte ha estat produït a Irlanda.

Design of a every day sports bag that will help you to get organized in the gym. Featuring two main compartments to keep your wet or dirty gear separate and organised from your dry one and with a neoprene mat that will help you when changing clothes on wet areas.

Amphibia Sports Bag | 2011 Proyecto realizado con la empresa Spear para la marca Amphibia sports (www.amphibia-sport.com). Diseño de una bolsa de deportes para uso diario, tiene dos grandes bolsillos para guardar la ropa mojada y separarla de la ropa limpia. También tiene una pequeña alfombra de neopreno que te ayudará a cambiarte en zonas mojadas del gimnasio.

Té dos grans butxaques per poder guardar-hi la roba mullada i separar-la aixi de la roba neta. També disposa d'una petita catifa que t'ajudarà a canviar-te en zones molles del gimnàs. 

Uisce Bagga  | 2010 Project designed with the company Spear. Uisce Bagga has been designed to promote saving water in Ireland. When simply filled with water and placed into your toilet cistern, Uisce Bagga will save 1 litre of water every flush, and 4000 litres every year. Uisce Bagga  | 2010  Proyecto realizado con la empresa Spear. La bolsa Uisce Bagga ha sido diseñada para promover el ahorro de agua en Irlanda. Simplemente se llena la bolsa con agua y se coloca dentro de la cisterna del inodoro. De esta forma nos ahorramos 1 litro de agua cada vez que tiramos de la cadena. Uisce Bagga | 2010  Projecte realitzat amb l'empresa Spear. Uisce Bagga ha estat dissenyada per promoure l'estalvi d'aigua a Irlanda. Simplement s'omple la bossa d'aigua i es diposita dins de la cisterna del vàter. D'aquesta manera s'estalvia un litre d'aigua cada vegada que tirem la cadena. My first bike | 2007 University project (Tutors: Toni Clariana and Cristina Taberner).
My first bike is a bicycle designed for children around 3 and 4 years old. This bike helps the child to keep their balance before they learn how to use a pedal bicycle.

My first bike | 2007 Proyecto realizado en la universidad (Tutores: Toni Clariana y Cristina Taberner). "My first bike" es una bicicleta creada para niños de 3 a 4 años. Su funcion es la de ayudar al niño a mantener el equilibrio antes de empezar a usar una bicicleta a pedales. De esta forma el cambio de una bicicleta a la otra es mucho más fácil y natural.

My first bike | 2007 Projecte realitzat a l'universitat (Tutors: Toni Clariana i Cristina Taberner). "My first bike" és una bicicleta pensada per a nens de 3 a 4 anys. La seva funció és ajudar al nen a apendre a equilibrar-se abans de portar una bicicleta a pedals, d'aquesta manera el canvi d'aquesta bicicleta a una de pedals és més fàcil i natural.

Urban furniture | 2007 University project (Tutors: Enric Dachs).

Design of a multi-function urban furniture. In this project my intention was to create a product that allows the user to interact in many different ways . A piece of furniture that makes you think of a sofa and invites you to sit to read a book, to lie down a bit or even refresh yourself with water from the source.

Mobiliario urbano | 2007 Proyecto realizado en la universidad (Tutores: Enric Dachs).
Diseño de un mobiliario urbano multifunciones. En este proyecto mi intencion fue crear un objeto que el usuario pueda usar de distintas maneras. Un banco que te haga pensar en el sofa de casa y te invite a sentarte para leer un libro,estirarte un poco o incluso refrescarte con el agua de la fuente.

Un banc que et recordi al sofà de casa i et convidi a seure per llegir un llibre, estirar-te una mica o fins i tot parar a refrescar-te una mica amb l'aigua de la font.
